Location: Westmoreland Public Health Services - Darliston Health District covering Berkshire and St. Leonards.

Registered Midwife- HPC/MW3

The incumbent will be responsible for providing safe, efficient and effective therapeutic care in accordance with the objectives and policies of the Maternal and Child Health Care Plan for Jamaica.

Qualifications

Diploma or BSc. in Midwifery
Certificate in Nursing Administration.
At least three (3) years working experience in a similar field.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the functions, coordination and development of midwifery personnel within area assigned.
Participate with Public Health staff in planning, implementing and evaluating activities for the area.
Supervise and give direction to Midwives and Community Health Aides assigned to Health Centres within the area.
